Happy New Year!!
I am SO ready for a new year and hope that it’s a vast improvement from 2017 lol.
To kick off the new year, I want to share my top posts from 2017 and also give you guys a glance (I love alliteration <3) at what to expect from TGH for 2018. Without further ado, here’s my Top 3 most popular posts from 2017:
#3:Β 15 Best Low Light Indoor Plants
#2: How to Fold Clothes the KonMari Way
Β And my #1 most popular post:
How to Clean Brass and Copper With One Simple Ingredient!
I gotta tell y’all, I was seriously surprised by what did super well vs. what didn’t. Who knew so many people needed to know how to clean brass, right? Like that was a quick post that got THOUSANDS of views and repins. Meanwhile I’m over here thinking *everyone will love this dryer post because EVERYONE’S dryer sticks out and it aggravates my Type A side + the dreaded sock abyss behind the dryer. just. UGH!*Β The internet is a mysterious place, friends.
But enough about the past…let’s talk about the year ahead! I’m super stoked π
First off, for those of you who don’t follow me on Instagram, you may have missed meeting our newest family member π
Meet Holly! We adopted her from a local rescuer (you can check her out on Instagram HERE!), and she’s a perfect fit for our family. She was found dodging traffic on “Holly Road” and was named HollyBell by her rescuers. When we adopted her, we decided to keep the name “Holly” since it seemed so fitting based on her story (and also since she was our little Christmas kitty π ). She’s a character, and has been a great little buddy to Roman.
They get along pretty well:
(They’re playing Go Fish together. I can’t deal.)
I did 2 little DIY kitty projects for her that I’ll share on the blog soon as well. In the mean time, if you wanna see more pictures of her, be sure to follow me on Instagram!
Plans for The Garcia House
This year, I have SO many DIY home improvement projects, tutorials, and crafts to share! Some I’ve done already and will post very soon. Others are in the works.
This little house of ours has never looked better, but there’s still so much to be done! And guess what? One of our rooms is getting a major face lift this year. I’ll be sharing all the details and plans in an upcoming post (stay tuned!). We also plan to stain that new deck, bring in more plant babies (and keep them alive), and paint all the things.
I am excited about this new year, and I’m hoping you’ll come along on this journey with us. I hope 2018 is YOUR year! I’d love to hear about your goals and plans for the year in the comments below. Got some big changes in the works? A new travel adventure? Tell me all about it! π
